As a devoted dog mom, my 2025 New Year’s resolutions are all about enriching the life of Vienna and enhancing our bond. I vow to dedicate more time to daily walks and parks together to keep us both active and engaged. I’ll commit to learning new tricks and commands, turning training sessions into fun bonding experiences that challenge and stimulate my pup's mind. Another good idea and goal, I plan to prioritize healthier meals and treats, ensuring my dog stays happy and fit. Lastly, I aim to socialize more by arranging playdates with fellow dog owners, creating a vibrant community for both Vienna and myself. Here’s to a year filled with tail wags and unforgettable adventures!
Top 5 new years resolutions to try:
1. Daily Walks:
Commit to taking your pup on daily walks to improve both your fitness and their health. Vienna cannot start her day without a walk through our neighborhood. Rain or shine she wants to hit the pavement. Check out our Instagram for fun moments on our walks.

2. Training Milestones w/ Health Treats:
Set a goal to teach your dog a new trick or command each month to enhance their obedience. The challenge of teaching your pet a cool trick can come easy with a treat. The very first time I got Vienna to stand on her hind legs and turn in a circle was done naturally and on her own to reach the blueberry I was offering her. The one thing I notice to get her to do certain commands like a high-five or give me paw is all motivated with a treat. If you don’t want to feed any biscuits to your pup, try a low calories snack like blueberries or pieces of bandana.
3. Quality Time:
Dedicate specific days each week for quality time—whether it’s playing fetch, cuddling, or exploring new parks together. It has been a goal of mine to truly work on a schedule for Vivi to get enough playtime with me outside of our daily walks. Taking her to the dog beach has been a fun trip every time so the start of this year I’m going to bundle up and bring her to the boardwalk so she can enjoy time on the sand and explore.
4. Doggy Date Nights:
Plan regular playdates with other dogs to help socialize your pup and create new friendships. I’ve met a few dog moms that have small dogs like Vienna and she’s hit it off with the first dog she’s ever played with. This year I’m going to be more intentional about socializing her with more than just her long time bestie. I love to watch her play at the beach and meet other friendly dogs her size.
5. Organize a Pet-Friendly Vacation:
Plan a getaway that includes your dog, exploring pet-friendly hotels or destinations. I’ve been dying to take Vienna on a trip with me. I just know the experience will be different and so much fun instead of leaving her with a family member than going on a trip without her and feeling guilty.
These goals can help you deepen your bond with your pup while ensuring a happy and healthy year for both of you!
